Yesterday, our travel buddy Quang met us in Santiago for the day! He is on his way to Patagonia to do some trekking on the W Circuit. It was quite nice for him to meet us for 1 night. It was a day well spent too. We walked throughout the city, visiting sites like the Cerro Santa Lucia, Mercado Central, La Vega Market, Museo Bellas Artes, and Cerro San Cristobal.
Together, we supported Teleton, a charity event that raises funds to help children with developmental disabilities. How did we do that? We bought some "completos," hot dogs with avocado, tomato, onions, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. And we made a small monetary donation. It was a feel good activity for us, and we enjoyed being with such great people and supporting a noble cause.
We capped our day off with the views from Cerro San Cristobal, a teleferico ride, and a great dinner in a happening neighborhood of Bellavista in a square called Patio Bellavista. Couldn't have been a more successful, fun, and active day.
